What we collect

The contact form asks for your name, email address, chosen study format, preferred date, location, and message. If you book a shop visit we also keep the district you name. At the room, the day book records the date of a pass visit and the shelf you used. Payment records are limited to the transfer reference the bank shows for the published fee.

Please keep private keys, seed phrases, full card numbers, and resident registration numbers out of the message. If you include them, we delete that portion from the enquiry file and ask you to resend without it.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to answer you, to hold or refuse a seat, to prepare the correct month’s fee table, and to record payment of the published rate. The day book is used to count a six-visit pass. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to advertise third-party products.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept for twenty-four months after the last message in the thread, then deleted. Confirmed bookings and the matching transfer reference are kept for five years as business records. The day book for reading passes is kept for twelve months after the pass expires. You may ask for an earlier deletion where Korean law does not require us to keep the record.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea you may request access to the personal information we hold, correction of a wrong detail, deletion, a pause on processing, and objection to a use that is not required for the booking. To exercise a right, email hello@mentisjunction.click with the address you used on the form. We respond within the period the Act requires.

You may also raise a concern with the Personal Information Protection Commission or another competent Korean authority.

International transfers

The reading room operates in Korea and stores enquiry files there. If a hosting provider that delivers this website processes a form submission on a server outside Korea, the fields are limited to the contact form, the transfer is only for delivering the message to the company, and we will tell you the provider’s name on request. We do not move the day book or payment references outside Korea for storage.

Sharing

We share personal information with our bank when you pay a fee, and with a public authority if the law requires a disclosure. Seminar participants see one another in the room; we do not publish the attendance list. Reader notes on the website are published only with the person’s permission and in the wording they approved.
